Alloy Steel CNC Machining
Alloy steel is a family of steels that contain additional alloying elements—such as chromium, molybdenum, nickel, and vanadium—beyond the carbon and iron found in plain carbon steel. These additions result in improved hardness, toughness, fatigue resistance, and wear resistance compared to standard carbon steels.
Different alloy steel grades offer different balances of machinability, mechanical strength, toughness, hardenability, and heat treatment response. Common CNC machining grades include 4140, 4340, 8620, 4130, and 1215.
At Evefab, alloy steel can be CNC milled, turned, drilled, tapped, bored, and machined into complex precision components for aerospace, automotive, industrial machinery, oil & gas, and other demanding applications.
