Tumbling (Barrel Tumbling / Barrel Finishing) is a mass‑production mechanical surface finishing process for CNC‑machined workpieces. Parts tumble inside rotating barrels together with abrasive media, compound detergent and water. Constant friction between components and grinding media removes burrs, sharp edges, tool marks and flash.
